Fresh Christmas Wreath’s
Mental Health America of Hendricks County will once again be selling custom decorated Christmas wreaths this holiday season. Watch for updates!
This has been a long-time tradition of the organization, with proceeds benefiting the programs offered by MHAHC such as educational programs in all of the county school systems on topics such as bullying, self-esteem, depression, autism, and anger management.
MHAHC is not a government agency and depends on funding from the United Way of Central Indiana, grants, donations, memberships, and fundraisers such as the wreath sale.
Christmas Gift Lift
Gift Lift was also a great success this year. We served nearly 400 Hendricks County nursing home residents, county home residents, and county residents with persistent, severe, mental health conditions who might not have otherwise received a gift. We accept donations for many of the items throughout the year, then in early December our volunteers sort the items and prepare them for distribution. If there is not enough of a particular item, the cash donations we receive are then used to purchase what is needed. The gifts are then distributed throughout the county just before the holidays to brighten what can often be a lonely time of year for the recipients.
If you’d like to volunteer for either of these events next year, we would love to have you be a part of it! Additionally, if you’d like to donate items throughout the year for Gift Lift, we welcome those donations at any time. Feel free to call our office at 317.272.0027. You may also contact us via email email@example.com. Thank you again to everyone who supports our agency and our programs each year. We couldn’t do it without you!
A meaningful way to make a difference in Hendricks County.
The tree mural at our agency, pictured above, proudly displays the names of generous supporters of
Mental Health America of Hendricks County (MHAHC).
“Branching Out” is an opportunity to raise needed funds for mental health services in our community, while recognizing our generous donors in a unique way. Your donation will be acknowledged on our tree, or you may choose to make your gift in honor or in memory of a family member, co-worker, or friend.
Supporting MHAHC brings help and hope to those in our community who are living with mental health conditions. It means we can offer suicide prevention classes. We can help families coping with the stress of divorce. Persons in need can reach out to MHAHC for information, support groups, advocacy, and referral. Our “Kids on the Block” puppet program, reaching more than 5,000 children each year, can continue to address issues like bullying, autism awareness, conflict resolution, and drug/alcohol abuse.
Your gift makes a big difference in our community!
Give $25 – $99: you or your gift recipient will receive a card acknowledging your generous contribution.
Give $100 – $499: you or your gift recipient will receive a card, and your or their name(s) will be painted on one of the mural’s leaves.
Give $500 or more: you or your gift recipient will receive a card, and your or their name(s) will be painted on a gold leaf.
Call or email Kris Pickett – 317-272-0027, firstname.lastname@example.org – for more information. We will need the name(s) and mailing address(es) of the person(s) being recognized by your gift. Your donation should be designated for Branching Out. If you would like to pay online, please go to our INVEST page to process your payment. Your gift designated to Branching Out is tax-deductible.
Thank you so much for your very generous support!
